SeaWorld San Antonio has been integrating social media into its day to day communication since 2007.
They have invited the Social Media Club San Antonio to join them for the Summer Nights VIP party this Thursday June 11, 2009, from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. During the party we will preview the new attractions at the park, including an exciting new social media game. SeaWorld will provide refreshments, adult beverages and a fun time. This will take the place of our regular monthly meeting.

Social Media Club San Antonio has been invited to participate in a preview tour of the soon to be unveiled Northern part of the San Antonio River. The grand opening will be on Saturday, May 30th. We are extremely honored to have been asked to be a part of this preview. We will be capturing all of the 1.5 mile tour via Twitter, Facebook, Flickr and thanks to Charlotte-Anne Lucas we will also have live streaming video.

Saturday night, the Social Media Club was in full force reporting at various locations from around town during the Mayoral race results.
Not only was the reporting first rate, but the San Antonio “Current” recognized our role in the election campaign wrap-up story here. 
Campaigning is one thing; governing is another.  I am hoping we can continue to demonstrate our collective thought leadership and giving citizens a social media voice in a Julian Castro Administration.
