Social Media Club San Antonio Tomorrow

SMC SA is meeting again tomorrow!

San Antonio College, Nail Technical Center, Rm. 140. Parking is available in Lot 21.

Come join us from 6-8 p.m. for insightful topics, great networking opportunities, and of course food and drinks! Tomorrow’s meeting is an open session with a topic to be chosen at the beginning. We’ll also be discussing SMC-SA Christmas mixer as well as future topics and businesses that will be coming in to present in 2009.

Meet Chris Heuer and Kristie Wells

Big Announcement Today! If you’ve not heard from the Ning Group or via Twitter, SMC Austin and SMC San Antonio have an amazing opportunity to meet with Social Media Champions Chris Heuer and Kristie Wells.

Don’t know who they are? Well you will by checking out www.socialmediaclub.org. Browse the site and read up on some of the amazing things these two have been a part of with regards to making Social Media Club a reality. These two amazing individuals are coming in from San Francisco to present at a conference in Austin, but they are taking some time Saturday night to meet with us.

Saturday night, October 4th @ 5:00 p.m. the groups will be meeting at Tres Hermanas Restaurant and Cantina, in San Marcos, for cocktails and dinner afterwards for those that want to continue the festivities.

Social Media Club-San Antonio Kick Off Gathering

The first Social Media Club - San Antonio meeting will be on Thursday, September 18th in the Nail Technical Center at the San Antonio College. Map and register information can be found  here. There is a nominal fee to offset the cost of hosting the event. Thanks to Rocky Conrad with SAC, Luis Sandoval, Jr. and Armando Guerra for generously providing the venue and refreshments.

San Antonio, Welcome to A Whole New World!

Greetings San Antonio! It’s been a long time comng, but the day is finally here! San Antonio will now join the ranks of some of he biggest cities in America and around the world by hosting their very own Social Media Club.

Social Media Club looks to share “best practices, establishing ethics and standards and promoting media literacy in the emerging world of social media.

Social Media Club offers a chance for all media professionals and series enthusiasts to come together and share ideas to build a media savvy community to put San Antonio on the map. With the internet becoming the primary form of communication mediums like podcasts, streaming media, social networks, and micro-blogging are changing the face of business across every industry. Industries like marketing and advertising firms are fighting for attention as consumers switch from traditional media to “new” media.

We hope you join us in this outstanding venture. In the coming days we will announce details for the first Social Media Club Meeting for the month of September. We will look to connect with business leaders across the city and gain some insight on how we can work together to share information and expand San Antonio’s technology prescence.
